About the Role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential care and shelter setting.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of persons entering and leaving the location.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations through required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Requirements

Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
