About the Role

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a shelter setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to concerns with integrity. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter setting.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, hallways, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for residents and staff.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
