About the Role

Join Thompson Health as a Nurse Leader in the Birth Center, where you can renew your passion for nursing and reach your highest potential. This full-time position involves days, evenings, and on-call duties, with potential for off-shift work based on unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in all phases of unit activities related to the management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery.
• Assign duties appropriately to associates.
• Serve as a role model for professional nursing and ancillary staff, sharing responsibility for patient outcomes.
• Coordinate resources to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff by fostering collegial interdisciplinary and physician relationships.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor.
• Coordinate unit activity and patient throughput.
• Provide feedback in the evaluation of staff performance.
• Facilitate unit activity to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes and quality measures.
• Actively support the philosophy, vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the Department of Nursing and the Health System.
• Manage human resources by fostering interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships within the department and institution.

Requirements

• NYS license as a registered nurse
• Current BLS CPR

• $47.00-57.00/hour
