About the Role
Corcept is seeking a Director, Sales to build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as Corcept launches and grows its oncology portfolio in Europe. This role will lead the DACH field Sales teams and will be accountable for translating regional brand and commercial strategy into disciplined, compliant field execution. This leader will establish coaching cadence, performance standards, and launch execution rhythm needed to create a patient-centric, high-trust, and accountable sales culture.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and coach a high-performing Sales team through clear performance expectations, field coaching, joint account visits, structured feedback, and accountability for results
- Partner with the DACH General Manager, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition to recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top field talent
- Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and strategic execution, setting high standards for leadership effectiveness and cross-functional partnership
- Lead DACH sales execution and launch activities, ensuring the field team is prepared for key milestones, stakeholder engagement priorities, and account-level execution
- Translate regional commercial and brand priorities into actionable sales plans, field priorities, and territory/account execution expectations
- Establish sales goals in partnership with the General Manager and EU Commercial Analytics, monitor individual and team performance, and address execution risks or field barriers
- Lead the Sales teams in identifying priority accounts and developing strategic account plans that drive customer engagement, launch execution, and business performance
- Support strategic commercial opportunities and senior stakeholder engagement while maintaining clear individual ownership of assigned account relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with selected key opinion leaders and strategic stakeholders in the GYN/ONC therapeutic area
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, EU Commercial Analytics, and EU Sales Training & Operations to align commercial strategies, strengthen field readiness, and support launch execution
- Maintain close coordination with Medical Affairs, to ensure compliant and effective engagement with shared HCP stakeholders
- Provide field input into targeting, territory alignment, reporting needs, forecasting assumptions, capability development, and business planning activities
- Serve as the voice of the field, providing insights into account needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, treatment pathways, access barriers, and emerging commercial opportunities
- Provide regular performance, launch readiness, and field insight updates to the General Manager and relevant regional or global stakeholders
- Ensure all interactions with healthcare professionals and commercial activities comply with Corcept policies, local regulations, industry codes, transparency/disclosure requirements where applicable, and the company’s patient-first principles
Requirements
- Strong track record building, leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams
- Inspirational and accountable leadership style with strong business acumen and the ability to translate strategy into actionable sales plans
- Strong understanding of oncology stakeholders’ engagement, institutional account management, launch dynamics, and healthcare system complexity in the countries included in the DACH region
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Human Resources, and regional/global leadership
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills in a matrixed and evolving organization
- Travel across Germany and the DACH region required
