About the Role
Join Finger Lakes Health’s Environmental Services team as an Environmental Services/Housekeeping Aide to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout patient and non-patient areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness directly contribute to the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients and healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general and detailed cleaning throughout patient and non-patient areas.
- Clean patient rooms, restrooms, furniture, fixtures, and other assigned areas.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for patients, residents, guests, visitors, and staff.
- Replenish supplies and promptly remove trash and linen.
- Safely operate and maintain electrical, battery-operated, and mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Follow infection control, safety, PPE, and chemical-handling procedures.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals and dispensing equipment.
- Follow workplace safety practices, including proper body mechanics and use of "Wet Floor" signs.
- Respond appropriately to emergency pages and safety situations.
- Complete assigned work efficiently and according to established standards.
Requirements
- Employees must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous hospital or healthcare housekeeping experience preferred, but motivated candidates eager to learn are considered.
