About the Role
Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a full-time AP/CP Pathologist to join an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network. This role includes primary duties in anatomic pathology sign-out, general practice, minor teaching responsibilities, and directorship of an outlying network laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists
- Cover the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network
- Perform anatomic pathology sign-out
- Engage in general practice
- Undertake minor teaching responsibilities
- Direct an outlying network laboratory
- Examine approximately 20,000 surgical cases annually
- Examine approximately 10,000 Cytopathology cases annually (2,000 non-gyn)
- Work with Pathologist’s Assistants and Cytotechnologists
- Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network
- Deliver care across an 8-county region
Requirements
- MD, DO
- BC/BE
- Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure
- Possession of or ability to obtain NYS certificate of qualification (COQ)
- BLS Certification Required
