About the Role
This early-in-career Financial Analyst role will accelerate Navan’s strategic roadmap and shape the financial strategy behind the organization’s AI transformation. You will gain hands-on exposure to financial planning, strategic analysis, and business partnership within a fast-paced environment. We seek a low-ego, detail-oriented, and motivated individual eager to build strong business fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership to enhance financial performance visibility, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure efficient, effective, and growth-aligned investments in the product roadmap.
- Prepare accurate and timely recurring reports, conduct variance analyses, and translate data into actionable insights for R&D stakeholders.
- Manage R&D operating expenses and COGS, including headcount, workforce planning, location strategy, and AI/SaaS/infrastructure spend.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and build financial models to inform operating strategies, recommendations, and support global business growth.
- Drive process improvements using AI and automation to streamline recurring workflows, processes, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Procurement/Sourcing, Accounting, People, Talent, IT, and Corporate Finance teams, developing skills to navigate ambiguity, ask thoughtful questions, and improve processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of work experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, Accounting, or Corporate Finance.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and executive presence with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and trust-building.
- A proactive, "get it done" attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
