About the Role

Arcadis is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Toronto. The role involves managing projects, including structural design and construction support for various building types, ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements. The engineer will collaborate with global teams and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis and design, preparing drawings and specifications.
  • Perform seismic analysis, design, and performance assessment.
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines (Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).
  • Attend meetings and prepare presentations.
  • Prepare bid documentation for project pursuits.
  • Conduct site reviews to ensure construction compliance with design intent and codes.
  • Review and respond to submittals (RFIs, Shop Drawings, etc.) during the CA phase.
  • Provide direction to and work with Engineering & CAD staff.
  • Perform peer reviews of other engineers' work.
  • Conduct QA/QC activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural design and construction support.
  • Registered P. Eng in Ontario.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Canadian design standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot, SAP2000.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and software such as Bluebeam.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment with a collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to confidently relate with all levels of staff and clientele.
  • Excellent work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
  • Driver's License.
