About the Role
A Merchandiser is responsible for executing and maintaining shelf, display, and merchandising standards in grocery stores, supporting the sales department. This role involves filling shelves and displays, assisting with point of sale and promotional items, and ensuring product freshness and proper display execution.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with Store Managers/Grocery Managers/Receivers
- Fill store shelf space and maintain proper display levels
- Maintain and Organize Back Room Stock Area
- Ensure proper Product Rotation using Product Freshness Codes
- Ensure each product has a Shelf Tag and Price Sign Awareness on displays
- Ensure Shelf Plan-o-gram is being followed in each account serviced
- Affixing rebate coupons
- Report Out of Stocks
- Communicate and confirm orders With Store Manager/Grocery Manager/Receiver
- Build, resupply, and properly merchandise portfolio product displays
- Ensure price signs are available on all displays
- Deliver and install promotional items that draw attention to our products
- Assist Delivery Driver as a helper delivering kegs and cases of product if needed
- Undergo training to help familiarize yourself with our product portfolio
- Review weekly ad sales sheet
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Valid New York State Driver’s License with a clean driving history
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time if needed
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable vehicle to get to and from work
- Have cell phone & internet access
