About the Role
Hudson Valley Community College is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach – Pitching Coach to join the Department of Athletics. The role involves assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the baseball program, with a specific focus on the pitching staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in organizing and administering all facets of the Hudson Valley Community College Baseball program.
- Work directly with the pitching staff.
- Monitor academic progress of student-athletes.
- Game Day preparation.
- Plan and conduct pre-season, practice, post season and film sessions.
- Recruit student-athletes (Possible Travel).
- Scout opponents.
- Report statistical and program updates as needed.
- Attend all home and away events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or 60 college credits; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Background in baseball as a coach and/or athlete.
- Appreciation for junior college athletics.
- Experience as a pitching coach preferred.
- Demonstrate a sincere commitment to principles of academic/athletic integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Possess a valid New York State driver license.
- Evening and weekend work required.
- Must currently hold unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
- Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.
