About the Role

In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring organization, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional opportunities. This role offers a real estate valuation professional the chance to develop in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry and specialized expertise in financial and operational areas. The Director will work with a valuation advisory services team, performing services such as Litigation and Expert Testimony, Real Estate Appraisals, Portfolio Valuations, and Financial Modeling.

Responsibilities

Assist in the collection and analysis of data to formulate an opinion of the market value of real estate assets for various uses.
Perform research and analyses associated with operating performance, market analysis, and valuation of real estate investment properties, development projects, and corporate entities.
Understand and utilize company-related research subscription services including CoStar and CompStak.
Review and analyze various source documents for the development of cash flow assumptions and projections.
Apply business, economics, finance, and accounting skills to client situations and practice disciplines.
Synthesize and analyze large amounts of data associated with complex real estate properties/portfolios.
Prepare complex cash flow projections to model real estate performance utilizing MS Excel and Argus.
Prepare relevant analysis, summaries, and reports for clients and FTI management.
Prepare expert reports, rebuttal reports, and USPAP compliant appraisal reports and appraisal review reports.

Requirements

Ability to travel to clients and to FTI offices as needed.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
