About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Nursing Home Administrator to lead the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting our dedicated staff, and achieving organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall operations of the facility to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance
  • Lead and support department managers while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage operational and financial performance, including budget oversight
  • Promote resident-centered care and advocate for the needs of residents and families
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, residents, and families to achieve the best possible outcomes
  • Participate in committees and lead special projects as assigned
  • Support employee engagement, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Current New York State Nursing Home Administrator License (or eligibility, if applicable)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, or at least 4 years of progressive supervisory and administrative experience in long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, federal regulations, and long-term care operations
  • Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and data management
  • Flexible as required based on operational needs
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, and participation in administrative on-call rotation as needed

Experience Level
