About the Role

The Marketing Coordinator provides second-level support for marketing efforts for Professional and Continuing Education’s degree programs. This role supports the execution of marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads, positively impact fiscal performance, and assist in nurturing leads to increase enrollments. The coordinator also assists in creating research documents, reports, and content, coordinates projects, supports consistent branding, and monitors marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of an integrated marketing and communications strategy.
  • Implement program-specific, multi-channeled digital marketing and communication plans, including website maintenance, email marketing, social media, organic search, and PPC activities.
  • Assist in all promotional print, television, Web, radio advertising, social media, and direct mail marketing of assigned programs/courses.
  • Assist with booking media, career and educational portals, print, broadcast, trade shows, and referral development.
  • Support the definition of keywords, audience profiles, content writing, and program positioning for PPC, SEO, and online education directories.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for the development and execution of collateral items, HTML email, website and landing pages, direct mail, and print materials.
  • Implement email marketing initiatives, including message development, copywriting, design, image selection, HTML creation/testing, and landing page development.
  • Support the delivery of a high-converting stream of inquiries from cost-effective lead sources.
  • Support the processing of marketing-related contracts and invoices.
  • Assist with student retention efforts, program development, and the launch of new degree programs.
  • Coordinate ongoing student engagement efforts, including managing the student success website and developing email communications.
  • Implement initiatives that support an increase in program referrals.
  • Assist in all aspects of new degree launches, including competitive analysis, copywriting, email development, website build, and marketing/advertising material development.
  • Conduct secondary research for all assigned programs and build standard research templates.
  • Monitor, track, and report on marketing campaigns and program activities.
  • Track inquiries from potential students and coordinate with enrollment advisors.
  • Track and report on campaign response rates.
  • Calculate return-on-investment (ROI) on campaign expenditures.
  • Track and report on cost-per-lead (CPL) and cost-per-start (CPS) by source per program.
  • Prepare weekly program reports and semester reports.
  • Support performance analysis and monitor trends across various marketing channels.
  • Track and monitor expenses against budget.
  • Research new marketing channels and emerging opportunities for specific target audiences.
  • Participate in outreach efforts, career fairs, and similar events.
  • Support the execution of multi-channeled and comprehensive marketing plans for each degree program.
  • Anticipate and solve common problems.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, monitor yield, and track performance against program-specific goals.
  • Execute and implement social media, email, paid search, and other digital marketing tactics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital marketing and lead generation and/or marketing-related project management.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of marketing strategy.
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to work with all required technologies and tools.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • Must provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.
