About the Role
A Sterilization Technician at Touro College of Dental Medicine is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the dental clinic by cleaning, sterilizing, and disinfecting dental instruments and equipment. The incumbent will also manage the inventory of sterilization supplies and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sterilize, and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all sterilization procedures adhere to established protocols to prevent the spread of infection.
- Maintain an adequate supply of sterilization supplies and instruments.
- Ensure sterilization equipment is functioning properly and report any issues.
- Keep the sterilization area clean and organized.
- Adhere to all relevant safety and infection control guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR Certification Required.
- General administrative duties required.
- Ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines required.
- Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks required.
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills, collaboration and matrix management skills required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and precision are crucial in sterilization procedures.
