About the Role
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for label control, yard coordination, and administrative functions to support the outbound operation. This role involves communicating issues to supervisors and requires Excel and computer literacy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, distribute, and reprint all labels for carton/pallet pickers daily.
- Maintain a clear and consistent label flow for pickers.
- Track and document all labels issued.
- Utilize Y/WMS system to communicate outbound pulls and plugs to yard drivers.
- Assist supervisor to ensure trailer is properly chocked and green light is active before loading.
- Complete computer data entry for shipments.
- Issue seals to loaders.
- Verify accurate information for Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Schedule LTL carriers for pickup.
- Print work assignments for replenishment drivers.
- Document and file all outbound related paperwork.
- Multitask and work with a high sense of urgency.
- Assist outbound supervisors with compiling and tracking downtime sheets.
- Provide service and adhere to professional etiquette in communications.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
- Ensure all seals and sensitive documents are properly secured.
- Distribute and collect tools and equipment and report issues to supervisors.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
- Safe use of powered equipment, RF scanners, computers, and printers.
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and ISO procedures.
- Work overtime as dictated by business needs.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control or warehousing admin.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
