About the Role

The Treasury Analyst role within Swiss Re's Graduate Programme offers early-career talent the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of liquidity management, cash operations, treasury markets, and financial risk management. You will contribute to daily activities supporting global financial operations, gain exposure to various treasury functions, and help ensure optimal liquidity management while building a foundation for a career in Treasury and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, and short-term cash forecasting across legal entities and branches.
  • Analyze cash balances, liquidity movements, funding activities, and business transactions to support treasury decision-making.
  • Contribute to funding, cash consolidation, and internal foreign exchange activities that optimize the use of cash across the Group.
  • Prepare reporting, analyses, and insights for treasury stakeholders and business partners.
  • Support bank account administration, treasury systems, connectivity management, and SWIFT reporting processes.
  • Contribute to treasury technology initiatives and process enhancements, including the application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with Treasury, Asset Management Operations, Finance Operations, Tax, IT, Risk Management, and other stakeholders to support strategic and operational priorities.
  • Support governance activities, risk management initiatives, audit requests, and process documentation requirements.
  • Contribute to treasury-related projects that strengthen operational efficiency, controls, and business resilience.
  • Apply data, analytical tools, and emerging technologies to enhance reporting, improve decision-making, and support business outcomes.
  • Present analyses, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance treasury processes, controls, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Completed or about to complete a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated academic rigor through course selection and performance; a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected.
  • No more than three years of professional experience.
  • Intellectually curious about treasury, liquidity management, financial markets, banking operations, and corporate finance, with the drive to learn quickly and apply new concepts to real business challenges.
  • Ability to think analytically, solve complex problems, and enjoy working with data.
  • Self-reflective, seeking feedback, and applying it for growth.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and adapt style to collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and cultures.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate ownership, integrity, sound judgment, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and other analytical tools to generate insights from data.
  • Familiarity with data visualization, reporting, or financial analysis tools.
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies and their application in enhancing analysis, decision-making, and business outcomes.
  • Internship or work experience in financial services, insurance, reinsurance, banking, treasury, corporate finance, accounting, or finance operations.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with analytical, reporting, visualization, or business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • Exposure to cash management, liquidity forecasting, foreign exchange, bank account management, SWIFT, treasury management systems, or related treasury activities.
  • Additional language skills and an interest in working in a global environment.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and interest in building a long-term career in Treasury and Finance.
