About the Role
As a Portfolio Manager, Private Markets, you will co-manage private markets solutions end-to-end in partnership with internal teams and external managers. You will support portfolio construction and asset allocation across strategies, partner with internal and external investment teams to select and monitor investments, and oversee the investment lifecycle for a variety of investment types. You will also support due diligence, manage underwriting, liquidity, capital deployment, and risk for private market solutions, monitor and report on portfolio holdings, and represent FTIS in client meetings and stakeholder discussions.
Responsibilities
- Co-manage private markets solutions end-to-end in partnership with internal teams and external managers.
- Support portfolio construction and asset allocation across strategies.
- Partner with internal and external investment teams to select and monitor investments.
- Oversee the investment lifecycle for primaries, secondaries and co-investments, across private asset classes including private infrastructure equity & debt.
- Support due diligence and manage the underwriting process for new investments.
- Manage liquidity, capital deployment, and risk for private market solutions.
- Monitor and report on portfolio holdings, including manager oversight.
- Represent FTIS in client meetings and stakeholder discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant private markets investing, including infrastructure as a limited partner or institutional allocator.
- Experience as a Portfolio Manager managing or supporting multi-manager portfolios in private asset classes.
- Proven record in institutional investment management and multi-asset team collaboration.
- Experience with evergreen or semi-liquid fund structures and liquidity management.
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or equivalent preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Broad experience as an institutional allocator in private equity, credit, and real assets.
- Proficiency in portfolio construction, capital allocation, and risk management.
- Underwriting experience for co-investments and fund investments, including general partner assessment.
- Understanding of infrastructure sectors and asset types: renewable energy, digital infrastructure, logistics, and social infrastructure.
- Familiarity with semi-liquid fund structures.
- Comfort with valuation oversight, performance analytics, and reporting for private assets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain investment concepts to private wealth audiences.
- Professional presence for client meetings and due diligence.
- Integrity and professionalism in fiduciary roles.
