About the Role

The School of Design + Art invites applications for qualified individuals to teach undergraduate Art studio courses, specifically Color and 2D Design. This foundational course requires adherence to a set syllabus and curriculum delivered via Canvas. Faculty will teach in both online and face-to-face settings, contributing to a college committed to preparing students for diverse industries.

Responsibilities

• Teach designated courses, face-to-face and/or online (synchronous and asynchronous).
• Keep teaching materials current.
• Interact with students in discussions and hands-on activities.
• Continuously grade assignments and monitor student performance.
• Maintain appropriate office hours.
• Support students in their educational journey and career progression.
• Collaborate with the School of Design + Art Director to identify new subjects and guest speakers.

Requirements

• Master of Arts degree required with a minimum of 18 graduate credits directly related to the teaching field.
• Five years of professional experience in the field is preferred.
• Experience teaching in higher education or with adult learners is preferred.
• Submit a letter of interest.
• Submit a current C.V.
• Submit a portfolio of no more than 20 images (10 professional, 10 student work) in PDF format, or a link to a digital portfolio of professional and student work.
