About the Role

This role provides day-to-day leadership and guidance for the portfolio reporting function, acting as a key resource for team members using reporting platforms like Addepar and Orion. The position involves coordinating reporting workflows, managing new account setups, daily updates, reconciliation, and monitoring system integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance for the portfolio reporting function.
  • Lead or support the coordination of reporting workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client reporting.
  • Manage new account set-up, including coding, linking to custodians, and ensuring proper reporting of all investments.
  • Perform daily updates and reconciliations.
  • Monitor reporting and integration of alternative assets.
  • Handle monthly performance updates.
  • Proactively monitor dashboards to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.
  • Maintain a working understanding of metrics, calculations, key user workflows, and operational processes for end-to-end maintenance of the reporting platform.
  • Document required processes for ongoing system support.
  • Participate in requirements gathering for ongoing system updates.
  • Facilitate user integration and acceptance testing.
  • Support the integration of new advisors onto the Orion & Addepar systems, including establishing clients/accounts, linking to custodians, conversion of history, reconciliation of history conversion, and population of custom attributes.
  • Create and test client packages in conjunction with users.
  • Ensure the existence of adequate internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with improvement projects, ad-hoc projects, and complete assigned research projects.
  • Maintain written procedures on all aspects of this position.
  • Work to continuously improve initiatives to identify potential solutions and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of related investment services industry experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience, including leading projects, mentoring team members, or overseeing operational workflows within a reporting, operations, or financial services environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Proven history of being a “self-starter.”
  • Track record of working effectively in a remote/virtual environment, with a distributed team.
  • Ability to “manage up” and have direct, open, and progressive conversations with Management and Partners across the firm.
  • An appetite for analytical problem-solving.
  • Desire to maintain a solutions-oriented approach to addressing opportunities and challenges.
  • Team player who welcomes feedback with the goal of continuous improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Attitude that no task is too small and a willingness to do whatever tasks are necessary to make sure that the work is done on time.
  • Proficiency in technology/applications a must.
