About the Role
Capital One is seeking Workday Engineers passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Finance technology driving the company. As part of a team leading the next wave of disruption, you will advance Capital One's Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence, championing automation and driving innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Understand and translate business priorities, integrating Finance value proposition and strategies.
- Deliver solutions for Capital One's Global Finance organization using Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, Expenses, Accounting Center, Prism).
- Deliver solutions in Workday platform across Finance modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments, Suppliers) through efficient processes.
- Effectively communicate across teams, with Product Owners and stakeholders, influencing solutions across business partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with Finance partners on innovative ideas to redesign business processes.
- Continually research, test, and stay up-to-date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes, and capabilities.
- Build and maintain thorough documentation for system implementation and maintenance.
- Serve as the primary contact for questions regarding system functionality from business and technical perspectives.
- Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing end-to-end solutions within Workday.
- At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP.
