About the Role
Leica Biosystems is seeking a Senior Sales Specialist, Histology Consumables to drive revenue growth and expand market share for their Histology Consumables business in New York, NY. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to customers and an expert resource for commercial partners, utilizing market knowledge and strategic account planning to achieve business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow Leica Biosystems' Histology Consumables business across the assigned territory by developing and executing comprehensive territory and account strategies focused on revenue growth, market share expansion, competitive conversions, and long-term customer retention.
- Consistently achieve or exceed annual sales objectives while managing a complex portfolio of opportunities.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with laboratory leaders, Histology Managers, Pathologists, Procurement teams, and health system stakeholders.
- Drive consumables adoption, account expansion, and strategic growth initiatives through consultative selling, business reviews, value-based customer engagement, and collaboration with internal teams.
- Leverage territory analytics, market intelligence, Salesforce.com, and commercial performance metrics to forecast results, identify growth opportunities, prioritize resources, and influence business decisions.
- Act as a territory subject matter expert by monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and customer purchasing behavior while sharing best practices, mentoring peers, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving continuous improvement through Danaher Business System tools and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of commercial experience or Master's Degree with 5+ years of commercial experience.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets, driving territory growth, and managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision makers.
- Experience developing strategic account plans, conducting executive-level customer engagements, leading territory business reviews, and utilizing CRM and analytics tools to drive commercial performance.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, relationship management, and influencing skills with the ability to engage clinical, operational, financial, and procurement stakeholders.
- Experience coaching peers, sharing best practices, leading commercial initiatives, or serving as a subject matter expert within a sales organization.
- Must Possess a valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to travel overnight for territory coverage and/or for company meetings.

- Total target compensation at plan (base + SIC) is $175,000 – $195,000 annually.
