About the Role

The Vice President of Supply Chain & Procurement will provide executive leadership to build and manage Solar Landscape's Supply Chain & Procurement organization. This role involves developing long-term strategies for procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management, as well as recruiting and leading a high-performing team to support rapid national growth. The position is critical for improving project execution reliability, cost management, vendor performance, inventory efficiency, and overall operational scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Own national logistics strategy, inventory planning, material forecasting, and warehouse operations.
  • Lead transportation, freight, and third-party logistics (3PL) relationships.
  • Improve inventory utilization while reducing shortages, excess inventory, and stranded materials.
  • Develop scalable logistics processes that support continued geographic expansion.
  • Develop sourcing strategies across solar modules, inverters, racking, electrical equipment, structural materials, and other critical equipment.
  • Build long-term strategic supplier partnerships that improve pricing, availability, quality, and supplier performance.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract strategy.
  • Develop supplier diversification strategies that improve resiliency and reduce supply chain risk.
  • Establish supplier performance scorecards and executive business reviews.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, PMO, Construction, Finance, and Project Development to align supply chain strategy with project execution.
  • Balance cost, schedule, quality, inventory, and supplier capacity when making sourcing decisions.
  • Resolve cross-functional challenges quickly while maintaining alignment across the Operations organization.
  • Improve schedule certainty through proactive planning, supplier engagement, and disciplined execution.
  • Build scalable procurement systems, reporting, dashboards, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Develop long-range material planning processes that improve portfolio visibility.
  • Improve supply chain analytics and data quality across the organization.
  • Leverage technology and process improvement to drive operational efficiency.
  • Establish KPI-driven reporting that enables data-driven decision making.
  • Build and lead a high-performing procurement and supply chain organization.
  • Oversee teams responsible for strategic sourcing, supply planning, logistics, procurement operations, subcontractor procurement, and analytics.
  • Establish KPI-driven performance management across the procurement organization.
  • Develop scalable procurement systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Construction Procurement.
  • Experience building and scaling procurement or supply chain organizations in high-growth environments.
  • Deep experience with strategic sourcing, direct materials procurement, logistics, inventory planning, and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex commercial agreements and developing executive-level supplier relationships.
  • Experience leading cross-functional organizations where supply chain directly supports operational execution.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and operational decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to build teams, develop leaders, and implement scalable operating processes.
  • Experience in solar EPC, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, or other complex project-based industries preferred.
