About the Role

As a Strategy Director, you are responsible for creating the strategic direction a brand will take in communications to achieve their business goals. You will strategize, produce, and analyze key cultural, consumer, and market intelligence to design holistic communications plans. Your work should be recognized as best practice, winning awards and achieving high client scores. You will create strategic recommendations and engage with clients in an advisory capacity, reporting to the Client Lead. Creative thinking, presentation skills, and leadership are critical for success in this role, driving re-appraisal of communications and advancing the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent client relationships and understand their key business challenges.
  • Be a valuable contributor in client meetings, capable of challenging opinions constructively.
  • Deliver innovative thinking that inspires leading-edge solutions and award-winning work.
  • Equip the client team with knowledge and expertise to confidently discuss strategic direction.
  • Achieve measurable client and strategy business KPIs.
  • Identify, develop, and oversee the delivery of unique and innovative strategies to achieve client results.
  • Clearly demonstrate how the strategy addresses business needs, focusing on results and measurement.
  • Lead Infinity Planning for the team and client base.
  • Write cohesive communications architectures that deliver on the platform and guide brand participation in culture.
  • Train, guide, and assist Strategy and Client teams in developing and packaging ideas.
  • Collaborate positively with SBU and independent creative partners on client work.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative communications channel and cultural tool research to develop consumer insights.
  • Partner with Analytics to develop new tools and contribute to proprietary planning, research, and reporting models.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in an integrated planning role within media, creative, innovation, or communications (digital, content, invention, social, activation).
  • Ability to think differently: creative, adaptive, entrepreneurial, and independently minded.
  • Deep immersion in cultural understanding and a drive to learn more about the world and people's motivations/behaviors.
