About the Role
As Group Strategy Director, you are responsible for creating the strategic direction a brand will take in communications to achieve their business goals. You will strategize, produce, and analyze key cultural, consumer, and market intelligence to design holistic communications plans. This role requires a passion for people, brands, and ideas, with a deep curiosity for culture and a belief in the impact brands can have. The focus is on the quality and creativity of the work, requiring the ability to embrace new thinking and strong presentation and leadership skills. You will ensure the Strategy Teams' work is rooted in genuine insight and business understanding, providing training and guidance to develop new strategic approaches.
Responsibilities
- Translate client business goals into communications strategies with clear direction for teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships and understand their key business challenges.
- Ensure teams deliver best-in-class work consistently.
- Proactively identify and solve strategic issues using analytical and strategic skills.
- Provide strategic input for all internal and external plans.
- Introduce fresh thinking and inspiration into the strategic process, using non-media inspiration.
- Drive the development and usage of the Cultural Analytical Process/Tools to find new insights.
- Collaborate with Strategy Directors to deliver executable, relevant, on-brand platforms.
- Train, guide, and assist Strategy & Client teams in developing and packaging ideas.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative research to develop consumer insights.
- Partner with Analytics Strategy to develop POVs on research and measurement solutions.
- Contribute to agency/client revenue opportunities through strategic output.
- Collaborate with partners to unlock new growth opportunities for clients and the agency.
- Participate in new business pitches as required.
Requirements
- Ability to think creatively, adapt, and operate entrepreneurially and independently.
- Deep immersion in cultural understanding and a drive to understand people's motivations and behaviors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced presenter and storyteller.
- Interest in healthcare and understanding patient and doctor experiences.
- Experience working in or collaborating with a media planning team.
- Experience managing and developing junior strategy talent.
