About the Role

VP Account Directors run a book of business, helping clients and the agency meet strategic and financial goals. They act as strategic thinkers, liaisons between agency functions, and problem-solvers.

Responsibilities

  • Own senior client relationships, acting as a key decision-maker and brand steward.
  • Lead teams as an expert on multichannel experiences.
  • Leverage experience and agency knowledge to stay ahead of timelines, budgets, and workflows.
  • Guide teams to avoid past pitfalls.
  • Collaborate with management to appropriately staff brands and ensure equitable work division.
  • Foster a collaborative environment across teams.
  • Act as a manager and coach, recognizing and developing talent.
  • Navigate complex situations with tact, diplomacy, and a solution-oriented focus.
  • Grow business through pitches, new business, and organic growth.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage agency Centers of Excellence for clients.
  • Develop an agency-wide presence that transcends individual assignments.
  • Manage team finances in partnership with the Project Management team.
  • Contribute to the agency by leading initiatives that support agency vision and goals.

Requirements

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present ideas to brand teams and clients.
  • Specific leadership-level knowledge of all common agency projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to travel to client meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of medical marketing and/or agency experience.
  • Previous experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Specialist in Patient Pharmaceutical advertising.
