About the Role
This hands-on role is ideal for a dependable cleaning professional with strong customer service skills who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents. As a Property Cleaner, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the building, ensuring shared spaces and suites remain clean, modern, and inviting. In addition to daily cleaning duties, you will also perform light maintenance tasks and assist with the overall upkeep of the property to support a positive resident experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize common areas, laundry rooms, and on-site amenities to ensure high hygiene standards.
- Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
- Perform unit turnovers to prepare suites for new residents, including deep cleaning, appliance cleaning, baseboard scrubbing, and other tasks required to ensure units are move-in ready.
- Respond to and complete minor maintenance work orders, including plumbing repairs, water leak investigations, fixture repairs, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
- Respond to after-hours emergency situations, including evenings and weekends.
- Escalate complex or major maintenance and repair issues to the Property Management team.
- Assist in coordinating vendors and contractors performing maintenance, repair, and improvement work in the building.
- Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential property management, including cleaning, maintenance, and resident relations considered a strong asset; however, it is not required.
- Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Basic English verbal communication skills.
- Friendly, respectable, and community-minded with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.
- Requires continuous on-call availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address emergency situations and urgent resident needs.
