About the Role

Corcept is seeking a Director, Medical Affairs DACH to lead all medical affairs activities across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role serves as the DACH senior medical authority, driving medical strategy, providing leadership to cross-functional partners, and ensuring alignment between European priorities and local execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the DACH Medical strategy and execution plan, ensuring alignment with European medical strategy, priorities, and affiliate objectives.
  • Serve as the senior medical leader for the DACH affiliate and represent Medical on leadership discussions and business planning activities.
  • Provide medical leadership for launch readiness, lifecycle management, and cross-functional decision-making across Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Compliance and Clinical functions.
  • Partner closely with Market Access and HEOR to provide medical and scientific expertise for AMNOG/HTA activities, value communication, and payer-related scientific engagement within DACH.
  • Engage with selected DACH Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and scientific experts to support strategic scientific exchange, gather insights, and advance affiliate and regional medical priorities.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs, investigators, scientific societies and other key external stakeholders across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
  • Lead local advisory boards, scientific exchange programs and medical education initiatives that support affiliate objectives and complement regional medical activities.
  • Lead, coach and develop the DACH MSL team, ensuring high-quality field medical execution, insight generation and scientific engagement.
  • Oversee local medical review, approval and governance processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, industry codes and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HEOR on the execution of HEOR-led real-world evidence and other evidence-generation initiatives within DACH.
  • Monitor scientific and competitive developments and communicate actionable insights to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Serve as the medical counterpart to Pharmacovigilance for local safety-related activities and escalations.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and strategic execution, setting high standards for leadership effectiveness and cross-functional partnership.
  • Travel will be required for this role.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of German market access, AMNOG/HTA processes and the DACH healthcare environment.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills with Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance, HEOR, Clinical and global or regional medical colleagues.
  • Fluency in German and English is required.
