About the Role
Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a full-time, board-certified Division Chief Nephrologist to lead an established group in central New York. This role offers the potential for Medical Directorship and faculty appointment with Columbia University, with daily interaction with medical students and residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead an established group of 4 Nephrologists and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
- Manage a 100% Nephrology practice.
- Split time between outpatient clinic and hospital responsibilities at Bassett Medical Center (60%).
- Travel regionally to clinic and dialysis centers (40%).
- Potentially serve as Medical Director for dialysis units.
- Participate in call rotation (typically 9-10 weeks per year).
- Manage 30-50 follow-up dialysis patients.
- Manage 10-30 follow-up transplant patients.
- Interact daily with medical students and residents.
Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS.
- Board Certified in Nephrology and Hypertension.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
- BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification Required.
- DEA Required.

Salary/Compensations
- $400,000 - $460,000
- Medical Director Stipends Range: $55,000 - $85,000
- Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
