About the Role
Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a full-time MD/DO for its Susquehanna Family Practice/Gender Wellness Center in central New York. This role involves providing primary care for cisgender and TGD youth/adults, including gender-affirming hormone therapy and pubertal suppression, within an established practice and an integrated health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care for cisgender and TGD youth/adults across the lifespan.
- Provide evidence-based, quality primary care, including gender-affirming hormone therapy and pubertal suppression.
- Engage in half a day per week of non-clinical time for self-study.
- Participate in GWC interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
- Take part in team activities and grant implementation.
- Engage in efforts to ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in healthcare.
- Practice cultural responsiveness and cultural humility.
Requirements
- NYS certification/Licensure as MD/DO
- BLS Certification Required
- Strong clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills, commitment to LGBTQ+ healthcare, and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Employs principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in clinical practice
