About the Role
Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a full-time Neurologist to build a sub-specialized practice in Neuromuscular, Seizure, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, or Headache within an established group in an academic setting. This role offers the opportunity for academic appointment at Columbia University and teaching medical residents and students.
Responsibilities
- Develop a neurology subspecialty program.
- Manage a mix of specialty and general neurology, with at least 50% of time dedicated to specialty.
- Conduct mostly in-person outpatient clinic visits with potential for remote tele-neurology.
- Engage in academic appointment opportunities and teach medical residents and students.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient tele-neurology support.
- Participate in limited call duties (2-4 days per month).
- Manage a full spectrum of cases with a diverse patient population.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Completion of an accredited USA Neurology Residency.
- New York State Licensure or eligibility to obtain.
- BLS Certification.
- DEA Required.
- Stroke experience required.
- EEG reading and/or EMG performance desirable.
