About the Role

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join their staff in central New York. This role involves high-volume cataract surgery and general ophthalmology within an integrated academic health system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high volume cataract surgery and general ophthalmology.
  • Collaborate with a team of 5 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists.
  • Support sub-specialty interests in glaucoma, oculoplastic, cornea, and cataract surgery.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (every 5th weekend).

Requirements

  • MD, DO or MBBS degree.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
  • Completion of an accredited USA Ophthalmology residency.
  • New York medical license or eligibility.
  • BLS Certification required.

Salary/Compensations

  • $433,000 - $525,000 plus performance-based compensation.
