About the Role
Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join their staff in central New York. This role offers teaching opportunities and support for clinical research within a progressive academic health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within a clinic fully supported by skilled nursing, including dedicated infusion nurses and a nurse coordinator for triage.
- Collaborate with office staff providing substantial patient support, including 100% assistance with prior authorizations.
- Join an established group of 2 Rheumatologists.
- Manage a wide variety of diseases represented among the patient population.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with house staff and medical students.
- Utilize support for clinical research, including nursing, statisticians, and study design experts.
- Experience limited call and minimal travel.
- Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system serving an 8-county region.
- Become part of a progressive academic health system and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Completion of an accredited USA Rheumatology Fellowship.
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
- BLS Certification Required.
- DEA Required.
