About the Role

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an Optometrist to join their staff in a high-quality clinical environment with state-of-the-art equipment. This role involves comprehensive optometric practice, including routine eye exams, diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, and providing urgent care. The position offers the opportunity to practice within an integrated health system and become part of a progressive academic health system affiliated with Columbia University.

Responsibilities

Perform routine eye exams.
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases including glaucoma, cataract, cornea disease, diabetic retinal exams, and monitoring age-related macular degeneration.
Provide urgent care during clinic hours.
Participate in day call from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on some weekdays.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited USA Optometry Program.
New York medical license or eligibility to obtain.
BLS Certification Required.

$150,000 - $184,483
Performance-based compensation
Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000
Training stipend up to $40,000 for up to 18 months prior to graduation
