About the Role
Hudson Valley Community College is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join our Classified Staff team and continue building on decades of successful service to our community.
Responsibilities
- Answer student inquiries related to registration billing and accounts, and payment transactions via email, phone and walk-ins.
- Assistance with student registration and payment processing.
- General administrative assistance to the Assistant Bursar and Director of Student Accounts/Bursar.
- Prepare and process remote daily deposits and reconcile to daily deposit log.
- Ensure that funds are recorded to proper accounts.
- Prepare third party tuition billing for credit and non-credit courses.
- Work closely with third party sponsors to provide requested information and resolve billing issues.
- Follow up on outstanding balances owed by third party sponsors.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Candidates must have been legal residents of New York State for at least FOUR months immediately preceding the date of employment.
- High School Diploma or possession of High School Equivalency and four years of experience in maintaining financial accounts and records, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; (OR) an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Strong computer skills and analytical abilities are preferred.
- Higher education and Banner software experience preferred but not required.
