About the Role
Responsible for all aspects of Management for Residential Aide staff within the Program, ensuring quality services are provided effectively and in accordance with guidelines established by CHI, OTDA, and other funding sources.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the overall running of the site as directed by the Program Director.
- Responsible for the supervision and support for all Residential Aide staff.
- Oversee Residential Aide staffing for weekends, overnights and as needed.
- Conduct Fire Drills as scheduled and ensure fire safety procedures are followed.
- Supervise and assist with client meals according to site-specific policies.
- Ensure employees are following OTDA and DHS food safety guidelines.
- Provide limited crisis intervention and de-escalation to residents until professional staff can intervene.
- Contact supervisor and/or proper authorities as needed.
- Prevent loss of income to CHI due to vacancy loss, lost shelter payments, property damage, etc.
- Ensure the program provides quality services and is compliant with program requirements.
- Enforce CHI, site, and DSS policies, regulations, and rules with residents.
- Review video cameras and monitor the area consistently.
- Adhere to proper use of company resources.
- Maintain appropriateness and act as a model for other employees.
- Provide on-site training and feedback to staff and management.
- Inform the Building Superintendent of the work site’s physical condition.
- Act as a liaison with agencies responsible for referring eligible clients.
- Submit all internal and external reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain logs, office, and site in an orderly fashion.
- Assist the management team in communication.
- Serve as an on-call supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of verified experience working in homeless services can override the education requirement.
- All applicants must have 2+ years’ experience providing management services in social services or in other related fields.
- Proficiency in English required.
- First Aid/CPR Certification and Food Handler’s Certificate (have upon hire or within 60 days of hire).
- F-80 Fire Safety Coordinator certification, required (or ability to obtain F80 certification within 60 days of hire).
- Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and on the Internet.
- Ability to tour properties, walk distances, climb stairs, etc.
- Ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions and judgment calls.
