About the Role

The Cleaner will perform a variety of custodial duties under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, adhering to established standards and procedures of C&W Services. This role requires the ability to work holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor machines, including buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, performing spot cleaning and shampooing as directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash interior windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors (interior/exterior).
• Spot clean interior walls daily.
• Clean bathrooms daily, restocking paper supplies, damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, and stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, reporting them to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers and designated collection areas.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways at building entrances, and connecting walkways as directed.
• Perform periodic tasks including high dusting, cleaning leather and wood surfaces, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No previous experience required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to use a portable backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
• Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
• Must be available to work all holidays.
