About the Role

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is seeking a brilliant, strategic, and calm-under-pressure Senior Account Director to join our rapidly expanding Technology practice. This role is designed for a heavyweight communications leader with 10+ years of experience who is ready to architect the narratives of the next generation of Fortune 500 companies. Our Tech practice is as diverse as the industry itself, spanning fintech, healthtech, gaming, VR, hardware, and the venture capital firms that fund them. We are looking for an entrepreneurial "player-coach"—someone who can navigate a complex financial stakeholder meeting in the morning and lead a high-energy media brainstorm in the afternoon.

Responsibilities

  • Architect 360-degree communications programs that bridge corporate reputation, consumer brand awareness, and executive thought leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to founders, CEOs, and VCs, providing thoughtful counsel that protects and elevates client reputations.
  • Produce high-impact, persuasive content, including sophisticated messaging, investor-facing materials, media pitches, and event submissions.
  • Partner with experts in social media, paid media, design, and talent integration to build "speed-of-culture" campaigns for tech brands.
  • Leverage a deep-rooted network of top-tier contacts to secure placements that move the needle on a client’s bottom line.
  • Direct and develop a team of high-performing executives, coaching junior staff and driving team efficiency.
  • Drive agency growth by leading new business pitches and identifying organic expansion opportunities.
  • Lead the room while ensuring meticulous attention to detail in project delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in PR/Communications.
  • At least 4 years of direct people management experience.
  • Understanding of the nuances of the VC landscape and capital markets.
  • Ability to think outside the box to create impactful media moments.
  • Ability to navigate the needs of financial stakeholders and thought leaders.
  • High EQ and a calibrated ego.
  • Understanding of how social trends, digital communities, and brand partnerships can be leveraged to humanize complex tech.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of translating dense technical concepts into compelling human stories.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where you can build and scale a practice.
  • Willingness to over-deliver rather than simply meet expectations.
