About the Role
This is a unique 2-year apprenticeship in a Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique in London. You will support the Boutique team on front-of-house activities and receive training in customer service, customer insights, organizational and communication skills, and business awareness. Most of your apprenticeship is spent working, learning on the job through hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist Sales Associates during presentations (welcome clients, serve drinks, bring products)
- Prepare and wrap products
- Process sales and customer service transactions, including preparing documents and following payment procedures
- Support sales team in daily clienteling activities
- Follow Brand visual identity guidelines, including visual merchandising and daily maintenance
- Provide support for event organization
- Perform customer service activities allowed in the boutique (shining, engraving)
- Welcome clients and ease their waiting time (offer drinks, show catalogues, tour of the boutique, inform on waiting time)
- Support Sales Associates in client presentation preparation
- Review and set up the workspace
- Check daily the cleaning of counters, displays, and windows
- Review and set up back-office sales tools (catalogues, boxes)
- Contribute to operational tasks as needed (stock counts, safe replenishment, price tags update, consumables management, deliveries pick-up & drop-off)
- Monitor supply stock (consumables, drinks, stationary)
- Engage in specialist training to gain professional knowledge and skills
Requirements
- Experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., retail, hospitality, tourism)
- Ability and willingness to work retail hours, including weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible mindset
- Understanding of the job implications of belonging to a multicultural and cross-functional environment and business
- Seek solutions to increase customer or supplier satisfaction
- Identify ways to improve work efficiency and effectiveness
