About the Role
This role supports liquidity and funding management through advanced analytics, reporting, and automation. It involves developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, utilizing AI and advanced analytics tools for enhanced forecasting and decision-making, and improving efficiency and accuracy in liquidity reporting and planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor liquidity positions, funding metrics, and key risk indicators for senior management.
- Utilize AI and advanced analytics tools to enhance forecasting, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Apply automation and predictive insights to improve efficiency and accuracy across liquidity reporting and planning processes.
- Provide support and deliver specific operational processes for timely and accurate settlement of Security, Derivative, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market transactions globally.
- Confirm that activity is accurately recorded in the bank's book of records.
- Provide pre and post settlement support related to account opening, confirmation, cash management, margin, and collateralization.
- Support specialized operations including Asset Servicing, Correspondent Banking Services, and Wire Payment Operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory topics and reporting requirements.
- Develop solutions and make recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Help determine business priorities and the best sequence for executing business/group strategy.
- Communicate with internal business partners and external customers to respond to inquiries.
- Ensure alignment between stakeholders.
- Integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and streamlined reporting.
- Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
- Build change management plans and participate in change management activities.
- Define communication plans to positively influence or change behavior, develop tailored messaging, and identify appropriate distribution channels.
- Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Assist in coordinating work flow and activities of the team, including assigning work, reviewing output, providing input to performance reviews, quality control, training, coaching, and problem resolution.
- Fulfill routine and non-routine transactions, inquiries, requests, and audit/reconciliation activities.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively.
- Act as primary back-up to team members and manager.
- Evaluate circumstances requiring exceptions and engage senior management for resolution.
- Provide input into the planning and implementation of business programs.
- Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Resolve standard issues, referring non-routine issues to more senior team members or manager.
- Function as a problem-solving resource for more junior staff.
- Provide input and analysis into the planning, testing, and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Identify business needs, design/develop tools and training programs, and deliver training.
- Act as the day-to-day contact for vendors, supporting the implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of vendor solutions.
- Follow documented policies and procedures to execute day-to-day transactions and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Check and reconcile information and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Identify and analyze issues and problems, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Deal directly with clients to resolve issues and/or escalate as required.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand regulatory requirements and risks, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and operational integrity is maintained.
- Collaborate in the development/implementation of new processes/systems and changes/improvements to existing systems and processes.
- Support the development of tools and delivery of training focused on delivering business results.
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Work independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
- Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying the Risk Management Framework.
Requirements
- Typically between 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the business unit’s key products and services, processes, and controls.
- In-depth knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business.
- Good prioritization skills.
- In-depth customer service skills.
- Microsoft Copilot; Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate with AI capabilities).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
