Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute national strategic and tactical brand plans that drive commercial success and support long-term business objectives.
- Translate brand strategy into actionable territory business plans and communicate a clear vision to the sales organization.
- Champion customer experience excellence.
- Lead execution of commercial initiatives to achieve sales objectives while effectively managing operating budgets and resources.
- Monitor business performance, evaluate plan effectiveness, and adjust strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities and address market challenges.
- Analyze national and regional sales trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the Country Manager and leadership team.
- Lead quarterly demand forecasting process in collaboration with local and NA finance teams.
- Design and lead engaging, high-impact National Sales Meetings that align teams around strategic priorities and business goals.
- Develop and administer innovative sales incentive programs that motivate excellence, recognize performance, and support achievement of key business objectives.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing national sales team focused on delivering exceptional results while maintaining the highest levels of compliance and professionalism.
- Ensure successful execution of promotional strategies and territory business plans through ongoing coaching, performance management, and operational excellence.
- Optimize sales force effectiveness by ensuring appropriate territory coverage, resource allocation, and utilization of available tools and insights.
- Establish clear performance expectations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular field visits and co-travel days to coach team members, assess execution, evaluate market conditions, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Provide timely feedback and development opportunities to enhance selling skills, product knowledge, business acumen, and territory management capabilities.
- Address employee relations matters with professionalism, consistency, and respect while promoting an inclusive and high-performing culture.
- Serve as a key member of the Canadian Leadership Team, contributing to affiliate strategy, business planning, and organizational decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Support Programs, Compliance, and Finance to ensure alignment and successful execution of business priorities.
- Champion Merz Therapeutics' values and foster a culture of integrity, accountability, innovation, and patient focus.
- Lead by example in maintaining the highest ethical standards and ensuring full compliance with all company policies, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in life sciences or equivalent required.
- 8+ years commercial experience in marketing and/or sales, sales management, training required.
- Previous Sales Leadership and/or Sales Coaching experience required.
- Proven track record of commercial success required.
Skills
- Thorough understanding and experience of Neurology market preferred.
- Bilingualism (French/English) preferred.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, complex environment preferred.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, drive performance, foster relationships and build alignment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent analytical skills required.
