About the Role
The Homestead, a long-term care community in Penn Yan, NY, is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. The RN coordinates care, supervises nursing staff, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to promote the highest quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the care team
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
- Accurately document care and maintain resident records
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license in good standing
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
