About the Role

We are seeking Shuttle Drivers to provide shuttle services for Marist University. This is an opportunity for drivers looking for a change from traditional yellow bus driving.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patrons politely and assisting them.
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations.
• Opening and closing doors for patrons.
• Adhering to all traffic laws and signs for safe shuttle operation.
• Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers via radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants.
• Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal and company safety requirements.
• Recording passenger counts and trip times.
• Completing necessary paperwork for daily operations.
• Assisting in equipment setup and breakdown (e.g., signs, cones).
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness.
• Filling in as a lot attendant when needed.
• Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management.
• Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations.
• Operating wheelchair lift as needed and securing chairs with tie-downs.

Requirements

• Must be over 20 years of age due to insurance requirements.
• Customer service experience is a must.
• A valid license with a CDL and passenger endorsement is required.
• A valid medical card is also required.
• Background checks, SORI checks, drug tests, and driving tests will be conducted.
