About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team at Geneva General Hospital. As a member of our Float Pool, you will work across multiple units where assistance is needed, including ICU, Med/Surg, and more. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you can develop a broad range of nursing skills while making a meaningful impact on the care of patients in need.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients across a variety of units, including ICU, Med/Surg, and Emergency Department (ED).
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and create individualized care plans.
- Deliver direct care and evaluate patient progress throughout their treatment episode.
- Provide patient and family education, focusing on self-care, lifestyle changes, and long-term health management.
- Develop specialized skills in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and critical care.
- Offer emotional support and promote comfort in a Healing Environment.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification may be obtained during Clinical Orientation.
- Basic Coronary Care certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- CPI certification must be completed within 1 year of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
- Float pool experience is preferred, but not required.

Salary/Compensations
- $43.47 - $54.38 per hour
- $44.77-$53.38 per hour
