About the Role

St. Camillus is seeking an outgoing and energetic Recreation/Activities Leader to plan, organize, and lead group activities and individual interventions. This role promotes the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning for residents in a diverse skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Completing assessments, goals, and monitoring resident/patient progress.
  • Planning, organizing, and leading group activities.
  • Maintaining statistics.
  • Providing individual interventions designed to meet individual needs and interests.
  • Working with high functioning and cognitively impaired residents, as well as persons with behavioral symptoms.
  • Working every other weekend and holiday.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in providing recreational programming to cognitively and physically impaired adults.
  • Experience working with individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis.
  • Working knowledge of computer skills including Word and Excel.
