About the Role
St. Camillus is seeking an outgoing and energetic Recreation/Activities Leader to plan, organize, and lead group activities and individual interventions. This role promotes the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning for residents in a diverse skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Completing assessments, goals, and monitoring resident/patient progress.
- Planning, organizing, and leading group activities.
- Maintaining statistics.
- Providing individual interventions designed to meet individual needs and interests.
- Working with high functioning and cognitively impaired residents, as well as persons with behavioral symptoms.
- Working every other weekend and holiday.
Requirements
- Prior experience in providing recreational programming to cognitively and physically impaired adults.
- Experience working with individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis.
- Working knowledge of computer skills including Word and Excel.
