About the Role
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide OR and inpatient support to AO Fox Memorial Hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics in Oneonta, Delhi, Sidney, and Norwich.
Responsibilities
- Work within an established General Surgery team of 2 Surgeons and 2 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants.
- Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region.
- Provide support in outpatient clinics, OR first assist, and inpatient care at AO Fox Memorial Hospital.
- Cover Monday-Friday shifts, including rotating first call responsibilities for AO Fox Hospital inpatient and ED services.
- Participate in rotating weekend call, with 4-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, no overnight call required.
Requirements
- Previous surgical experience preferred.
- National Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner.
- New York medical license or eligibility to obtain.
- ACLS Certification.
- BLS Certification.
- DEA Required.
