About the Role
The Supply and Demand Planning Analyst will be a key member of the Supply and Demand Planning team within the Supply Chain/Operations department. This role is responsible for maintaining an optimized inventory position for an assigned portfolio of items across the distribution network. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement processes, excellent communication skills, and the analytical expertise to maintain target service level fill rates, while thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of relevant items and categories within supply and demand planning software, ensuring optimal inventory levels and strategically planning orders to align with future forecasts.
- Monitor and improve forecast accuracy for demand and transit times to adapt quickly to market changes.
- Manage, track, resolve, and escalate issues or opportunities for all stages of purchase and transfer orders to ensure timely inventory receipt.
- Develop Excel or BI reports and presentations for teams and Executives for everyday inventory management and tracking KPIs.
- Support continuous improvement of departmental and individual KPIs.
- Collaborate with sales teams to scope new business opportunities and incorporate them into demand planning.
- Work with category management to secure additional sourcing and align on product specifications.
- Manage and/or support ad-hoc projects utilizing Excel, Tableau, and SQL.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management/Procurement or equivalent.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills; proficient in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong data analytical skills – ability to research, identify requirements, gather, clean, analyze, and interpret data, and present findings insightfully.
