About the Role
Provide clinical support to foster and maintain a person-centered therapeutic environment, allowing individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their maximum potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee Person-Centered Behavior Support Plans for a caseload, in conjunction with Functional Behavioral Assessments.
- Maintain behavioral data for individuals on the assigned caseload.
- Participate in all service planning meetings for individuals on the assigned caseload, across settings.
- Liaise between day and residential programming to ensure consistency in behavioral planning and goal alignment across settings.
- Model behavioral interventions.
- Provide counseling and therapeutic support to individuals on the assigned caseload.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination of services with all service providers.
- Participate in staff and treatment team meetings and train staff on the clinical needs of individuals on the assigned caseload.
- Conduct necessary psychological evaluations and other assessments.
- Complete all required documentation, including functional behavioral assessments and person-centered behavior support plans, meeting OPWDD standards.
- Complete monthly notes on individual's behavioral progress.
- Participate in appropriate committee meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information according to HIPAA standards.
- Conduct self in a professional and courteous manner.
- Demonstrate teamwork by assuming expected role and maintaining collaborative relations.
- Demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational goals.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with varying degrees of intellectual/developmental disabilities is required.
- Ability to travel from site to site.
