About the Role

Assist the clinician in providing primary medical care to patients within the Medical Practice.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and assess patient conditions via phone or in-person consultations.
  • Determine the urgency and type of care required for patients based on assessment.
  • Provide medical advice and guidance based on assessments.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members about patient statuses.
  • Prepare materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist the clinician with the patient's medical exam.
  • Obtain patient history and medical information.
  • Provide direct patient care, including ear irrigation, vaccinations, medications, wound care, nurse visits, and suture removal.
  • Collect and process specimens as directed by the clinician and perform point-of-care testing.
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on clinician-recommended preventive care, medication, test preparation, treatment monitoring, and symptom changes.
  • Contact patients by telephone for follow-up, test results, or to relay physician instructions.
  • Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve practice and organization missions through total quality improvement.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Maintain and model organization values.
  • Demonstrate regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Three years of job-related experience required.
  • One year of supervisory experience required.
  • Active RN license based on state.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days.

Skills

  • Some manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity.
  • Some occupational risk.
  • Medium to Heavy physical effort; may exert up to 35 lbs. force.

Salary/Compensations

  • $36.53 - $67.90 Hourly

Benefits

  • $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-time externals only, pro-rated for Part-time.
