About the Role
The Metrology Equipment Technician will support a clean room environment by prioritizing equipment recovery and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include performing Preventative Maintenance (PMs), running routine equipment qualifications, and creating/executing equipment improvement projects. This role involves updating and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborating with various teams to achieve company goals. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and bend/flex for equipment repairs.
Responsibilities
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities in the fab with a focus on root cause analysis, standardization, and 6S.
- Work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
- Walk extended periods in the fab to be physically present during equipment recoveries.
- Follow standard operating procedures for equipment/processes/systems maintenance.
- Conduct failure analysis and follow scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future equipment failures.
- Monitor equipment and processes, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate across the organization.
- Prioritize work tasks with Supervisor, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and tool vendors to achieve goals.
Requirements
- 2 years of college or technical school preferred.
- Any Semiconductor equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
- Metrology experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft office/excel/powerpoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to use and operate basic hand tools.
