About the Role

The Program Coordinator provides primary administrative support for the local site, managing nominations, interview schedules, and student data. They offer logistical support for the interview process, Award Ceremony, and organize volunteers. During Pre-Collegiate Training, they manage the Writing Program and coordinate logistics for events like summer retreats and the Posse Olympics. For the Campus Program, they collect student data and assist with reports, also managing travel and supplies for special events. General office support includes managing calendars, tracking supplies, answering phones, and greeting visitors. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming nominations, interview schedules, and student personal information through Salesforce during recruitment.
  • Provide logistical support for each phase of the interview process and the Award Ceremony.
  • Organize volunteers for events.
  • Manage the Writing Program and coordinate logistics for special events such as summer retreats and the Posse Olympics during Pre-Collegiate Training.
  • Collect and organize student data and assist program directors in producing regular reports in support of the Campus Program.
  • Manage travel logistics and supplies for special events on campus.
  • Manage calendars, track office supplies, answer phones, and welcome students and guests.
  • Report directly to the program director of the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Experience with youth is a plus
  • Ability to work well with college students
  • Able to work autonomously and within a team
  • Event management experience a plus
  • Proficiency required in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet and email
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and MS Access a plus
  • Proficiency/Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Demonstrated belief in Posse’s mission and values
